Graphic Design
This is a collection of both graphic design projects such as: logo creation, illustrations, vector art, photo editing, poster/magazine layouts, and graphic ads for social media posts.
Tools used in these projects include: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva.

This was a project I got to do when helping out with a relative's wedding planning. The best way to contribute was to provide my graphic design skills. Majority of the wedding decorations and materials were DIY, so I was also figuring out ways to incorporate aspects from many different wedding DIY inspirations we've collected. With help from my sister, I designed these materials using only Canva, since it was the easiest collaboration tool. I really enjoyed this project because I was mostly given something to work from, and then tasked to improve it or incorporate it into the overall aesthetic of the wedding. This helped me practice my resourcefulness and creativity.
We printed the newspapers through Newspaper Club, the invitations through UPrinting, the postcards through Canva Print, and the menu/name place cards through FedEx Printing Services.

ecoSPEARS is a clean tech company offering sustainable, cost-effective technologies that extract and eliminate persistent toxins from contaminated sediment, soil, and water. These are two out of three of their technologies: SPEARS and the ecoAINA. The graphics shown were first made by another designer to explain how the technologies work through animated videos.
My task in this project was to convert the existing animated videos into infographics that can be shared as social media carousel posts. I essentially took screencaps of the animations in the original videos, edited them on Canva, and organized the information and pictures to be viewed in multiple, consecutive panels.

Sustainable Remediation Forum (SURF) is an organization that promotes the use of sustainable practices during environmental cleanup activities. While working as a Multimedia Specialist for ecoSPEARS, I also contributed to SURF's marketing by providing graphics for their social media platforms. The two organizations had a close relationship in the environmental industry.
All of these graphics were designed in Canva and some were iterations of templates provided by Canva. Most of my work focused on keeping the feed visually consistent while providing fun graphics for viewers to engage with the information or content provided by the organization. Additionally, I took part in writing the copy for some of the posts.

A magazine reflecting the culture and significant events that happened in the 1920's, specifically about African-American history and the Women's Suffrage movement.

This was a project for my English Honors class in my junior year of high school (2015). The whole class was tasked to work together and create a magazine with content based on the culture and significant events that happened in the 1920's, specifically about African-American history and the Women's Suffrage movement. Each student took part in creating the content of the magazine, including the writing, interviews, photos, and ideas for the columns.
I was voted as Chief Editor of the magazine and the overall class project, so I was in charge of managing everyone's roles in the project and finalizing the magazine. In the end, I pieced together everyone's contributions and formatted them into a magazine style design. These are some of the pages I designed.

This project was for one of my Digital Media classes at UCF. The objective was think about a project idea and brainstorm about what features & functions it could have, how technology could be used in new ways, or a better way to do something, a new market or a new user community to serve, an important problem to solve. We were to research its potential users, stakeholders, technology, design features/interactions, and other critical success factors. Finally, we had to design and develop an interactive prototype for that project idea.
My contributions to the group project include: conducting participatory user studies and market analysis on similar existing products, developing the low, mid, and high-fidelity digital prototype using Adobe XD, and designing the logo and branding of the website.

I took that concept, along with my favorite activity of sharing music with friends, and created this social media platform.
